Many TRY and USY High students receive scholarship assistance from local Jewish Federations, synagogues, and Jewish community centers.
We encourage you to apply for local scholarships early in the enrollment process. Our list of Scholarship opportunities is a great starting point as you explore your funding options.
JNF-USA’s Dream Israel Grants for USY High and TRY Participants
TRY and USY High participants can earn a Dream Israel grant of up to $7,500 by fundraising for a Jewish National Fund-USA project. Dream Israel grants are available to participants in both the fall 2022 and spring 2022 TRY sessions.
(Fund raising for the JNF’s Dream Israel project must be completed by 6 weeks prior to the start of the program. Please note that all donations are non-refundable in the case of withdrawal from TRY for any reason.)
Samis Foundation Grant
We are excited to announce that we have a stipend of $7,500 available for Washington State teens, thanks to the generosity of the Samis Foundation in Seattle. If you are from Washington, please click here for more details.

If you require additional financial assistance after exploring the above funding sources, you may apply to the TRY Scholarship Fund. The $500 deposit must be paid before a scholarship application will be considered for review.
TRY and USY High Spring 2022: There are two rounds for reviewing spring scholarship applications. All submissions must be made prior to one of the following dates: August 1 or November 15.
529 Accounts: Tichon Ramah Yerushalayim is accredited by the Middle States Association and as such families with 529 accounts may be able to have up to $10,000 from their 529 accounts sent to us for their students.
